On the shore of Big Shell Lake in my studio, I work with fabric, thread and paint. Fabrics have come from as far away as New Zealand and Taiwan. In the cloth pieces, I use photos more often than ready-made patterns.
In the jewelry, pebbles and seashells find their way into many of my pieces, along with semi-precious stones, wired with silver and copper. Pebbles are found along Lake Superior and Haidi Gwaii. My inspiration is augmented by the loons, geese and otters, just to name a few, and anyone else who stops by. Guest Artists: Geordie & Liz Smith: Blacksmith. Garden furniture and ornaments |
